Roast my Spotify

A roast of your Spotify that actually listened first

A roast that only reads your top five artists is guessing. brew listens to the music itself, splits your library into the different people living in it, and gives each of them a one-line roast - affectionate, never cruel, and specific enough to land. Then it names the type they add up to.

A real Brew film · brew.fm/bart

Who lives in your Spotify?

Brew listened to 2,076 songs from Bart’s artists and found 4 people living in there. Then it made them a film, cut to their own songs. Yours takes about a minute.

  • The people inside your library, found by sound - not genres
  • Your four letters, spelled out - and roasted
  • A film and cards to post, cut to your own songs

How the roast works

brew places every song you keep on one map of pure sound - built from the audio, not from genre tags. Your library lights up a few separate regions of that map. Those are your sides: the different people you become depending on what you press play on.

Each side gets a nickname, four of its own songs and one roast line, written from what that part of your library actually sounds like. Your four letters get a line each too, and the whole thing lands on a verdict: you are The something.

What you get back

A one-line roast for every side of your taste, a 4-letter music type with what each letter says about you, the song that explains you, and a short film cut to your own songs - ready to post.

The roasts are affectionate by design. If you want to be torn apart, there are meaner bots. If you want to be read accurately, this is the one.

Questions people ask

Is it free?
Yes. The whole reading is free - your sides, your four letters, your type and the film. Brew only charges for living playlists that keep adding new releases ($49 once, no subscription), and you never need them for the test.
Is the roast mean?
Gentle, on purpose. Each line is written to be affectionate and never cruel - it teases the side of you it describes, it doesn’t trash your taste.
How long does it take?
About a minute the first time, because brew listens to every artist in your library. After that your reading opens instantly.
Do I have to give brew my password?
No. You sign in through Spotify’s own login page, and brew reads your library from there. It never sees your password and never posts anything for you. brew is independent and not affiliated with Spotify.
