New releases from artists you follow

New releases from your artists, all in one playlist.

Spotify spreads new music from your artists across three places, and none of them keeps all of it. Here’s where to look - and how to have new releases from the artists in a playlist land in a playlist right next to it.

Works with the playlists you already have. Free to start.

In the last 30 days brew tracked 12,959 new releases from 9,672 artists in its listeners’ playlists.

Where Spotify shows new releases

What’s New: tap the bell icon at the top of Home. It lists recent releases from the artists and podcasts you follow, newest first. On some accounts Spotify has been testing a new home for it - Home, then Music, then Following.

Release Radar: rebuilt every Friday from new music by artists you follow and play, plus artists Spotify thinks you’ll like. One song per artist per week.

The artist’s own page: their latest release, one artist at a time.

Why releases still slip past you

All three start from who you follow, and most people follow a fraction of the artists they actually play. A feed you have to remember to check, a weekly playlist that keeps one song of an album, a page per artist - an EP from someone in your favorite playlist goes by without you.

Start from your playlists instead

brew reads the artists in a playlist you already have, followed or not, and puts their new releases in a playlist right next to it in your Spotify. Free watches each playlist's 10 strongest artists, checks weekly and keeps their newest 10 songs, in up to 3 playlists. Lifetime watches every artist in up to 100 playlists, checks daily and keeps up to 1,000 songs each, for $49 once.

Out in the last two weeks

New releases brew picked up from artists in its listeners’ playlists - each one the kind of release a living playlist catches.
