New music notifications on Spotify
Spotify has three ways to tell you about new music from your artists, and each one covers only part of it. Here’s how to switch all three on - and how to have the new songs land in a playlist on their own.
Works with the playlists you already have. Free to start.
In the last 30 days brew tracked 16,274 new releases from 11,384 artists in its listeners’ playlists.
In the Spotify app, open Settings, then Notifications, and turn on New music - push, email or both. It only covers artists you follow, so follow the ones you care about first, and don’t count on an alert for every single release.
Tap the bell icon on Home. What’s New lists recent releases from the artists you follow, newest first - it’s the closest thing Spotify has to a release feed.
Every Friday Spotify rebuilds Release Radar from new music by artists you follow and play. It’s one song per artist per week, so a full album shows up as a single track.
All three ask you to follow artists and to look. brew watches the artists in the playlists you already have and puts their new singles, EPs and albums straight into Spotify - nothing to follow, nothing to check.
One sign-in with Spotify’s own login. Nothing to set up and nobody to follow - brew starts from the music you already keep.
Any playlist you own. brew watches the artists in it for new singles, EPs and albums.
In Unroasted mode every new release from those artists collects in a playlist of its own. With lifetime, the taste-matched modes add only the tracks that sound like they belong.
“Found this site (brew.fm) that scrapes all your artists off a Spotify playlist then makes a new playlist of all their new releases. Release radar who??”
“I immediately found new releases from some of my favorite bands that I didn't even know about!”
Free runs 3 living playlists, each watching its 10 strongest artists once a week. Lifetime watches every artist in up to 100 playlists, every day, and adds the taste-matched modes. One payment, no subscription.
$99 $49 - $50 off until October 31
